Ninth Annual Hike for Hospice Palliative Care

The 2011 hiking year is starting off on a high note. Literally. The fist planned hike of the season will be to the top of the Enderby Cliffs (a five to six hour, intermediate level hike).

The good news is that this is for a great cause, the Annual Hike for Hospice, hosted by the Shuswap Trail Alliance and the Shuswap Hospice Society. The not as good news is that if anyone is in a similar situation as me, we are a little out of shape from winter. Not that it will keep a good hiker down. Motivated by a great cause and spectacular views, my husband and I are planning on joining the hike.

The hike takes place Sunday, May 1. Hikers will meet in the IGA parking lot (606 Russell Street, Enderby) at 8:30 am. Hikers looking to support or participate in Hike for Hospice can call RenĂ©e Lapierre at 250-832-7099.
